Heartbreaking Tearjerker of the Day: Donna Chen was walking her dog Barney along State Road 758 in Sarasota when she was struck and killed by a drunk driver.
Barney, injured in the incident, took off, and ended up in the Gulf of Mexico. There, he was found and rescued by a kayaker who happened to be filming his fishing expedition at the time.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by the kayaker, who says the dog is now back with his family. “I imagine they need him pretty bad right now,” he writes in the video’s description.
